Project overview

Certus Construction Services are approved contractors to carry out DFG (Disability Grant Fund) works to occupied properties within Wakefield.

Accessible bathrooms and wet rooms are essential to maintain independence. This project involved the installation of specialist materials and components, specifically for the use by disabled clients.

Often, creating wet rooms presents a few challenges around maintaining level access and creating effective drainage, this was managed by the installation of a tray former.

Our customer service liaison visited the property beforehand to go through the works with the client and offer several samples for tiling and floor finishes.

Scope of works

  • Removal of existing bathroom suite
  • Installation of tray former
  • Partial rewire and safety temperature shower
  • Install new anti-slip safety vinyl flooring
  • Fully tiled
  • Install grab rails and shower seat

Words from the client

“The new bathroom is going to make a massive difference for my husband, he has been struggling with the old bath for a long time now. The guys did a great job and kept me involved all the way through. A big thanks to Jacob and Nathan for all the hard work and I know my husband will miss the daily football chats!”
