Contract Win!
Wakefield Council have chosen Certus to partner with them to deliver adaptation services across the borough!
The project is funded by the Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG), a capital grant paid from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) to local authorities in England to adapt older and disabled people’s homes to help them to live independently and safely.
The DFG allows those classed as disabled to obtain a grant from their Council to make changes to their home. Examples of changes include:
- Ground floor extensions
- Level access showers.
- Wash/dry WC’s.
- Door widening and ramped access.
- Improving access to rooms and facilities, e.g. stair lifts, wheelchair lifts, ceiling track hoists.
- Providing a heating system suitable for specific needs.
- Adapt heating or lighting controls to make them easier to use.
The contract goes live in February, we are looking forward to getting started!
